Hello Future Kindergarteners!
We invite you to join families all over the country in setting the goal to read 1,000 books together before children enter kindergarten. It’s never too early to start. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can pick up a reading log at the library. Parents and caregivers read books aloud and record them in the log. Look for the milestones along the way when you can come to the library to get prizes for your reading accomplishments. When you’ve read 1,000 books and are ready for kindergarten, we’ll throw a celebration in your honor!
No reading log, no problem? For a paperless alternative, add the Moorestown Library as a friend on GoodReads and record your books online. You can still come in to claim your prizes when you reach 250, 500, and 750 books.
Did you complete the 1,000 Books Challenge? Are you starting kindergarten next fall? Hooray! Check back in Spring 2022 for details on the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Celebration.
