Teen Summer Reading

June 19 – August 30
This year, it’s Summer Reading, Re-Imagined (and with volunteer credit!)

Teen Summer Reading is for students ages 12-18 (entering grades 7-12). You will read books of your choice and write book reviews on the READSquared website or READSquared app.  You’ll earn a cookie from the Pie Lady Cafe for reviewing your first 3 books. After that, you’ll earn a $5 Wawa gift card for reading 5 books and another $5 Wawa gift card for reading 10 books. Each book review is converted into a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. So the more you read and review, the more chances you have to win the big prize. Be sure to Add a Book Review for each book you log.  YOU WILL NOT EARN POINTS TOWARDS PRIZES UNLESS YOU INCLUDE A REVIEW.

Please make sure your review includes:

  • The names of main characters
  • A summary of the action (but no spoilers!)
  • What you liked and didn’t like about the book
  • Your reason for giving it the number of stars you chose
  • Optional: The title of another book you have read that compares to this book (example, If you liked Harry Potter, I think you should read this book.)

Each week, a new Trivia Quiz will be posted under MISSIONS. If you answer all the questions correctly, you’ll get an extra ticket in the grand prize raffle.

NEW THIS YEAR FOR TEENS: Get volunteer hours for writing book reviews we can share with other readers!
