Your library card gives you complimentary, unlimited access to the digital edition of The New York Times as well as NYT Cooking.
From inside the library:
- Go to NYTimes.com.
- Sign in to your existing NYTimes.com account or register for a free account if you don’t already have one:
– Click on the Create Account button
– Fill out the form
– Write down what you create as your username and password—the Library cannot retrieve this for you later - If you already have an account, once you follow the link, you will see “Already have an account? Log In.” Use your previously-created account information (email and password) to log in.
- Enjoy! You now have unlimited access to the digital edition of The New York Times.
From any location other than in the library
- To activate a pass good for the next 24 hours, visit the New York Times digital access page.
Please note: If you have previously redeemed a 24-hour pass, NYTimes.com will not let you redeem a new one until the old one has expired. (The redeem button will not work, or you will receive an error message.) - Click Redeem.
- Sign in to your existing NYTimes.com account or register for a free account if you don’t already have one:
– Click on the Create Account button
– Fill out the form
– Write down what you create as your username and password—the Library cannot retrieve this for you later - You have successfully claimed a 24-hour pass when you see the confirmation message below. A message will also be sent to the email address linked to your NYTimes.com account confirming access.
