LGBTQ+ 101
June 15 @ 7 PM
Our “LGBTQ 101” workshop provides participants with basic information, terminology, and key concepts around gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and intersectionality. Participants will learn the challenges faced by LGBTQ youth in school and community settings and how to to be inclusive and affirming of the LGBTQ community. Presented by Garden State Equality.

LGBTQ+ History

In this program, we’ll discuss LGBTQ+ community members throughout history and their many contributions to our country and others. We want to connect the history to the relevance of social justice movements in LGBTQIA+ communities today and the importance of a unified and progressive society. We will also discuss some local movers and shakers of LGBTQ rights in Philadelphia and adjacent regions, and how their efforts have impacted our nation.  Presented by the Bryson Institute.  Sponsored by the Friends of Moorestown Library.
