Preschool Summer Reading Game (for children ages 2-5)

Preschool age children are invited to participate in the Preschool Summer Reading Game. Beginning June 23, register in the library and pick up your 3-page activity booklet or register online and get your activity booklet via email. After each page is finished, come to the library to get your prize! Each reader can earn a maximum of 3 prizes for this program. August 26 is the last day to turn in pages and get prizes.
New Readers Summer Reading Program (for students entering grades K-1)

Children entering kindergarten and first grade may participate in the New Readers Summer Reading Game. Beginning June 23, register in the library and pick up your 3-page activity booklet or register online and get your reading log via email. After each page of the log is finished (10 books per page), come to the library, report to a teen volunteer about one book on that page, and get your prize! Each reader can earn a maximum of 3 prizes for this program. August 26 is the last day to turn in pages and get prizes.
Children’s Summer Reading Program (for students entering grades 2-6)

Children entering grades 2-6 may join the Children’s Summer Reading Program online with READsquared. Read 10 books for a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card and 20 books for another $10 Barnes & Noble gift card. If you have a READsquared account you do not need to create another, just enroll in the Children’s Summer Reading program when you log in. To register for a READsquared account click here. Parents/guardians will need to create an account for themselves first before registering children 13 and under. August 26 is the last day to enter books in READsquared. Gift cards must be claimed by September 30.
NEW BONUS PROGRAM!! (For students entering grades 2-6)
Our bonus program is different this summer with more chances to earn prizes! Students entering grades 2-6 can report on books in person to a teen volunteer. You may report on up to 5 books per day. When you reach 5, 10, and 15 books you’ll win a prize! You can report on a maximum of 15 books and earn a maximum of 3 prizes. August 26 is the last day to report books and get prizes.

Teen Summer Reading Program (for teens entering grades 7-12)

Teens entering grades 7 and up can join the Teen Summer Reading Program online with READsquared. You’ll earn candy for reading your first 3 books. After that, you’ll earn a $5 Barnes & Noble gift card for reading 5 books and a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card for reading 10 books. If you have a READsquared account you do not need to create another, just enroll in the Teen Summer Reading program when you log in. To register for a READsquared account click here. Parents/guardians will need to create an account for themselves first before registering children 13 and under. August 26 is the last day to enter books in READsquared. Gift cards must be claimed by September 30.
