Circulation Policy

Libraries are built on a foundation of trust and respect for our patrons. We lend items, trusting that they will be returned on time and in good condition so we can, in turn, lend them again to others. Collection Development

This policy is intended to provide a framework of overall guidance for the library staff responsible for collection development and to ensure that library resources are well spent in acquiring and maintaining a current, well-rounded and balanced collection that supports the mission of the library and the needs of the community. Exhibits

Exhibits in the Moorestown Library are arranged to provide educational and cultural stimulus and to promote reading. The cooperation of non-profit organizations in the loan of materials for display is welcomed. More…

Fine Free

Moorestown Library is Fine Free! The Moorestown Library is eliminating fees for materials that are returned late. We made this decision because it is good for the community. We agree with the American Library Association’s policy statement that the “imposition of monetary fines creates a barrier to the provision of library and information services.” We want to eliminate that barrier. Internet and Computer Use

Meeting Room

Use of the Meeting Room may be made by any Library group or association; by any Township group; and by any group or association formally organized within the Township for cultural purposes, specifically excluding religious or political organizations and those the nature of whose activities makes the Room unsuitable for their purposes. Patron Conduct

The Moorestown Library welcomes the community to the Library for reading, studying, using library materials and services, participating in library events and conducting other customary library business. The Library strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to the safe and orderly use of the facility and requests the cooperation of patrons in refraining from behavior that disrupts library services. Social Media provides a platform for the Moorestown Library to promote the library’s programming and collections within the community and to strengthen relationships with patrons by providing value with links, resources, and unbiased information. More…

Study Rooms

The Moorestown Library Study Rooms are intended for work for 1-2 persons.
Groups will adhere to the Library Patron Conduct Policy and keep noise levels consistent with the proper
atmosphere of the Library. Any materials left in the room will be moved to Lost and Found at the
Circulation Desk. More…
